Monday Motivation: That Cup of Coffee During Corporate Meetings Is Necessary!

For those of you who dread board meetings for reasons best known to
you, a cup of coffee might be all you need to help you make it through
and even participate actively.

Caffeine, which is present in coffee, has been found to boost
attention and long term memory.

Here are 5 Benefits of taking at least a cup of coffee at work everyday:

1) Low doses of caffeine enhance working memory performance.

2) Combined administration of glucose and caffeine contributes to an
increase in the efficiency of the attentional system. A review
published in 2012 suggests that caffeine improves performance on both
simple and complex attention tasks, concluding that caffeine has clear
beneficial effects on attention, and that these effects are even more
widespread than previously assumed.

3) It is well-known that low to moderate doses of caffeine (around two
to five cups of coffee per day) improve hedonic (pleasure-related)tone
and reduce anxiety. Whereas high doses can increase tense arousal,
including anxiety, nervousness, and jitteriness.

4) Caffeine increases both selective attention (focussing on the
relevant stimulus) and sustained attention (maintaining focused
attention over an extended period of time). A 75mg serving of
caffeine, the amount found in around one regular cup of coffee, has
been demonstrated to increase attention.  Higher caffeine intakes,
such as those found in more than one or two cups of coffee, do not
necessarily result in additional increases in alertness.

5) The effects of caffeine on alertness are most often clearest in
situations where an individual's alertness level is reduced, such as
when they are suffering from the common cold, the post-lunch dip or
working at night.

During night work, caffeine has also been shown to reduce cognitive
failures and accidents by about half in subjects consuming over 220mg
caffeine daily, i.e. the amount found in approximately two cups of
coffee.

Moreover, caffeine reduces cognitive failures in the non-working population.

Go ahead and give it a try and let us know your observations.

Ebola In Rivers Update: ECOWAS Official May Face Manslaughter Charges.

The Nigerian diplomat attached to the Economic Community of West
African States (ECOWAS), Olubukun Koye who escaped from quarantine in
Lagos after testing positive to Ebola virus and travelled to Port
Harcourt for treatment, an action that resulted in the death of the
doctor who treated him (Iyke Enemuo) may face manslaughter charges.

This is coming on the heels of report that the number of persons under
surveillance in the state for Ebola Virus Disease has increased from
100 to 160.

Sources told THISDAY that the issue of Koye (a primary contact of the
index case, late Liberian Partick Sawyer) who defied instruction not
to leave Lagos after being placed in the isolation unit, was discussed
at the Federal Executive Committee meeting on Wednesday and that the
Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation Mohammed
Adoki was directed to look into the Nigerian laws and see how he could
be sanctioned for his action that resulted in the death of Enemuo.

The Rivers State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Samson Parker while
giving an update on the EVD in the state, after recording its first
death from Ebola last week Friday, disclosed that the surveillance
list had increased to 160.

He said the state's contact tracing team was working seriously to make
sure that the spread of the EVD was contained in the state.
Parker also gave further insight into how the dreaded EVD crept into
the state and claimed its first victim.

He said the late Enemuo was aware that Koye, whom he treated, had
evaded the surveillance team in Lagos to travel to Port Harcourt.

Parker said: "He (Koye) had received the late Dr. Patrick Sawyer in
Lagos. Upon developing the symptom, he confided in a female colleague,
called Lillian, who contacted the late Dr. Enemuo. It was after
contact was established with Dr. Enemuo that  Koye flew to Port
Harcourt to see Dr. Enemuo.

"To conceal his movement, Koye sneaked out of the isolation unit where
he was being observed and took a flight to Port Harcourt and switched
of his phone so that he cannot be reached or traced should he answer a
call.

"On arrival in Port Harcourt, Koye checked into a local hotel called
Mandate Hotel, around Rumuokoro in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of
the city."

The hotel, Parker said, was close to Enemuo's private clinic, Sam Steel Clinic.

Parker continued: "From what we have gathered so far, Dr. Enemuo,
knowing full well that Koye was positive of the Ebola virus took some
measure of precaution to protect himself while treating Koye. Knowing
the enormity of what he was doing. Dr. Enemuo upon Koye's departure
for Lagos poured bleach all over the room that Koye slept in order to
sanitise the place.

"Upon developing the Ebola symptom, Dr. Enemuo approached one of our
colleagues for treatment at Green Heart Hospital, along Evo Road, in
G.R.A. Dr. Enemuo did not tell the doctor that was treating him the
truth. He merely told him that he had fever. He lied. He did not tell
the doctor that was treating him his full story.

"But the doctor, a nice and conscientious professional suspected that
Dr. Enemuo was either hiding something or was suffering from a strange
ailment because he proved negative to malaria, fever and typhoid
fever. To be sure of what he was doing, he spoke to other very
experienced doctors about the strange case he was handling in his
hospital.

"He even invited some of  his colleagues to come over to his hospital
to study Dr. Enemuo's medical history. Of course, the news of the
Ebola virus was everywhere, so, they were afraid to go. None of them
showed up at the hospital where Dr. Enemuo was being treated. His
condition continued to deteriorate and he eventually died and his body
was taken to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital."
Parker said Koye had returned to Lagos where the surveillance group
saw him and tested him of the EVD and that he had tested negative.

He said Koye neither disclosed to the people that he travelled to Port
Harcourt nor that he had treated himself of the disease.

According to the commissioner, "When news got to Koye that the doctor
that treated him in Port Harcourt had died, he collapsed. It was then
he opened up and confessed that Dr. Enemuo had treated him when he
travelled to Port Harcourt. He confessed that he sneaked out of Lagos
to Port Harcourt".
However, the authorities of the isolation centre in Lagos never
disclosed to the public that an ebola positive patient had escaped
from the centre when the incident occured. This information is only
just coming to light following the death of a doctor in Port Harcourt.

Weekend Treat: Boost Your Immune System With Moringa

I have a moringa tree( the miracle tree) in my backyard which I
planted all by myself with so much care and affection!

The moringa plant is found in the middle east, Asia and Africa.

I got the seeds and planted about five in a flower pot. After about
five days only two seeds sprouted.

When my plants were about half a foot tall, one of my children
uprooted both of them, for reasons best known to them. Only one
eventually made it and I transferred it to my backyard with the soil
but without the pot.

I didn't know about breaking the tip so the tree could have branches
so in a few months I had "something reaching for the skies". How on
earth was I going to get the leaves?

So we had to practically cut about half of the tree off and that was
how I got my leaves!

Few days later, I understood why it has been said that this tree likes
to be cut; the stem had started budding! In a matter of weeks there
were branches with leaves. The more you break off the branches, the
more they sprout!

Do I hear you yawn? You want to know what's so special about moringa?

Let me give you health benefits and a good reason to plant a moringa
tree in your backyard.

Moringa contains proteins, vitamins and minerals and is also a
powerful antioxidant. It also has antitumor, antipyretic,
antiepileptic, antiinflammatory, antiulcer, antispasmodic, diuretic,
antihypertensive, cholesterol lowering, antidiabetic,
hepatoprotective, antibacterial and antifungal properties.

In other words, it's really potent in the treatment or management of
the following:

Anaemia

Arthritis and Joint pain

Asthma

Cancer

Constipation

Diabetes

Stomach pain and ulcers

Head aches

Hypertension

Kidney stones

Thyroid disorders

Bacterial, fungal, viral and parasitic infections

It helps reduce swelling, increase sex drive, and improve breast milk
production.

It is a well-known the immune system booster.

It can be applied directly to wounds, scalp, or even the gums. It can
be rubbed directly on the temples to relieve headaches.

I eat the leaves fresh, though they can also be dried (they still
retain the vitamins and minerals).

You can take time out to read on other Parts of the Moringa tree that
are medicinal and get a free e-book on the plant here

Rivers State Commissioner of Health Confirms Ebola Case In Port Harcourt

Rivers state government has confirmed the death of a medical doctor
from Ebola virus.

Commissioner of Health, Dr Sampson Parker who broke the news Thursday
in Port Harcourt said the late Dr Iyke Sam Enemuo died Friday last
week from suspected Ebola virus, adding that a test on his corpse
released yesterday confirmed that the deceased died from the virus.

He said the late Enemuo met a staff of Economic Community of West
African states, Ecowas at a hotel in Port Harcourt, noting that the
ECOWAS staff was on the team of those that received the index case,
late Patrick. According to the Commissioner of Health, one week after
the ECOWAS staff left Port Harcourt the late Dr Enemuo took ill and
was admitted in a hospital.

The Commissioner, Dr Parker said the wife of late Dr Enemuo who is
also a doctor had fallen sick and had been quarantined, adding that
about 100 persons who had primary or secondary contact with the late
Dr Enemuo had been placed on watchlist.

While appealing to residents of the state not to panic the
Commissioner, Dr Parkar said adequate measures were in place to check
the spread of the disease.

His words,: "My friends, brothers and sisters. The Governor of Rivers
State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has directed me to make this
solemn announcement to you.

"And it is with a heavy heart that I announce to you that the ebola
virus has claimed its first victim in Rivers State. Dr. Iyke Sam
Enemuo died last week Friday, August 22, 2014 as a result of what was
suspected to be ebola virus disease.

"The Rivers State Ministry of Health on becoming aware of the
conditions of his death, immediately commenced investigations and
contact tracing.

"As at today, about one hundred contacts from a hotel, patients of Dr.
Enemuo and patients of the hospital where the late Enemuo was treated
until his demise have been identified and restricted in Rivers State.

"The locations are being decontaminated. I had promised to be open and
candid with the public on our efforts to tackle the ebola virus.

"From our investigations some facts have emerged. A staff of the
Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on the team that
received late Dr. Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian American diplomat who
died of ebola haemorrhagic disease in Lagos, Nigeria made a trip to
Port Harcourt where he checked into a hotel and met with Dr. Iyke Sam
Enemuo.

"About a week after his departure, Dr. Iyke Enemuo took ill and was
rushed to a hospital where he presented with symptoms of fever,
diarrhea and vomiting.

"In the course of treatment, the managing physician became suspicious
and took samples for investigation. A few days after, Dr. Iyke Enemuo
died on August 22, 2014. His body was deposited at a mortuary in Port
Harcourt.

"Dr. Iyke Enemuo's widow, who is also a medical doctor and who cared
for him during his illness has taken ill. She is being quarantined.

"A few hours ago, results of the test carried out on samples taken
from Dr. Enemuo came back and was positive of Ebola Viral disease. The
diplomat who was seen by late Dr. Iyke Enemuo is alive and well."

Yummy! "Super-foods That Boost Brain Health"

Oh brain work! Whenever I'm involved in serious brain activities I
notice that some meals I've had don't just work! Before you know it
you're already feeling light-headed and dizzy and that's not good for
productivity! So what can we eat to boost brain activity and
productivity especially at work?

Here are Top 9 "Superstar" Foods for Brain Health By Dr. Ann Kulze

"Salmon: Salmon is exploding with the omega 3 fats that make up the
majority of the solid structure of the brain and play a fundamental
role in learning and cognition.  In the brain, omega 3 fats,
specifically DHA, are both the structural and functional "lynchpins"
for learning.

Nuts:  Nuts score a perfect 10 when it comes to brain-boosting
performance.  They are rich in several nutrients that play a key role
in healthy brain function, including essential amino acids, vitamin E,
a full spectrum of minerals, and B vitamins.

Beans: Beans are the most underappreciated brain foods.  Cheap,
convenient, versatile and well-liked by most, beans are a brain-health
winner.  They provide a steady supply of the brain's preferred source
of fuel, glucose, along with loads of vitamins, minerals, amino acids
and polyphenol antioxidants that the brain loves.

Oatmeal: Oatmeal is a highly nutritious source of brain fuel (glucose)
delivered gently, but steadily.  (The brain cannot stand high or low
levels of blood glucose). Oatmeal is also a good source of B vitamins,
vitamin E and key minerals.

Avocados: Avocados are another totally underappreciated brain health
standout.  A review of their nutritional profile reads straight from
the winning play book of eating for optimal brain health.  They are
chock full of heart-healthy monounsaturated fats that promote healthy
blood flow in the brain along with boatloads of the brains most valued
nutrients including: folate, potassium, vitamin B6, vitamin C, vitamin
E, and copper.

Blueberries: This diminutive yet all powerful fruit should be called
the brain berry.  Blueberries give the brain a nice gradual dose of
its must-have fuel (glucose) along with a massive hit of powerful
antioxidants.  The brain is uniquely susceptible to the ravages of
oxidation and blueberries hold the number one spot in food with the
most antioxidant power.  In laboratory studies, blueberries were found
to enhance the learning capacity and motor skills in aging rats.  Best
of all – they are delicious!.  Any other berry is great too.

A prudent portion of dark chocolate. This yummy food houses some of
the most potent antioxidants ever discovered in nature along with
several natural stimulants that can enhance focus and concentration.
The modest sugar it provides can help fuel the brain too.  I always
give my kids 2-3 small pieces of dark chocolate to take during exams.

Any form of dark leafy green (including spinach, kale, collards, Swiss
chard and lettuce greens). The nutritional fire power in dark leafy
greens is unrivaled.  They provide the full spectrum of
brain-protective nutrients, including a huge dose of vitamin C and
vitamin A along with 18 essential nutrients.  They are teeming with
antioxidant phytochemicals and a bit of omega 3 fats as an added
brain-health bonus.

Wheat germ: Slightly sweet, yet nutty, wheat germ is a gem of a food
for brain health.  It is an excellent source of omega 3 fat, vitamin E
and zinc – 3 nutrients required for brain function.  Sadly, many
people are deficient in these vital brain agents."

Wow! Now you know what to keep close to you in the office, especially
during your lunch break (many worker's brains go to sleep after lunch
break).

Update: Nigeria Now Has Only One Ebola Case

Nigeria has successfully reduced the number of Ebola cases in the
country to one.

Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu  who gave  an update on the
disease in Abuja told journalists that "today is the 30th day since
the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) was imported into Nigeria by a Liberian
- American.  As of today   Nigeria has had thirteen cases of EVD
including the index case."

"However,  seven of the infected persons were successfully managed at
the isolation ward in Lagos and have been discharged home."

"Two of the treated patients,  a male doctor and a female nurse were
discharged   Monday evening, having satisfied the criteria for
discharge."

"As I speak with you, Nigeria has only one confirmed case of EVD,  a
secondary contact of Mr Patrick Sawyer's and spouse of one of the
physicians who participated in the management of the index case.
She is stable but still on treatment at the isolation ward in Lagos,"
the minister said.

WHO Recommends That E-cigarettes Be Banned

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has recommended that e-cigarettes
be banned indoors, which they say emit toxic chemicals that could be
harmful to bystanders.

'Many smokers use e-cigarettes as a way to quit, as they deliver the
nicotine hit but without the carcinogens associated with breathing in
smoke. There are no laws currently banning their use inside.

But yesterday a report by the WHO questioned the safety of
e-cigarettes, officially known as electronic nicotine delivery systems
(ENDS).

"The fact that ENDS exhaled aerosol contains on average lower levels
of toxicants than the emissions from combusted tobacco does not mean
that these levels are acceptable to involuntarily exposed bystanders,"
said the report.

Although anecdotal reports indicate that an undetermined proportion of
ENDS users have quit smoking using these products, their efficacy has
not been systematically evaluated yet," the report added.'

Electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), of which electronic
cigarettes are the most common prototype, are devices that do not burn
or use tobacco leaves but instead vaporise a solution the user then
inhales. The main constituents of the solution, in addition to
nicotine when nicotine is present, are propylene glycol, with or
without glycerol and flavouring agents. ENDS solutions and emissions
contain other chemicals, some of them considered to be toxicants.

Although some e-cigarettes look like tobacco products (e.g.
cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipes, hookahs, or shishas), they may
be produced in the form of everyday items such as pens, USB memory
sticks or larger cylindrical or rectangular devices.

Previous studies have shown that inhaling nicotine, even without
tobacco smoke, may contribute to heart disease.

I recommend staying off nicotine totally and completely. "Hard" or
"Soft" copy makes no difference!

Should My 8yr Old Be Using Deodorants?

The other day I was like "what's that?" when I picked up my 8yr old
daughter's school uniform and "inhaled some sort of mature odour".

Days later when my husband asked me if I had noticed the strong body
odour from my daughter I knew something had to be done about this
situation.

Getting to puberty already? But it's kind of early... I didn't have
any experience like this when growing up till I was 11/12.

Daily baths, regular change of clothes, beddings and diet help to
check body odour. Onion, garlic and spicy foods can contribute to body
odour.
You may also consider using an anti-bacterial deodorant soap for your child.
But when these are taken care of and there's still no improvement
then it's possible your eight year old is approaching puberty (8-13yrs
for girls, 9-14yrs for boys).

So early?

There is a theory that states that exposure to chemicals in the
environment and processed foods causes children to experience puberty
quicker.
Other studies have linked early puberty to exposure to artificial
light from TV and computer screens.

So how do you deal with the body odour since you now understand your
child is getting more mature?

Give your child deodorants rather than anti-perspirants.
Deodorant products without anti-perspirants are usually termed
"natural"; they stop the odour and not the sweating.

Experts advice that products with phthalates should be avoided for children.

"Phthalates (pronounced "thah-lates") are chemical plasticizers that
have been widely used to soften plastics that would otherwise be
brittle and crack when bent.

Phthalates are found in an amazing array of products. In personal care
items, they're used to help lubricate other substances, help lotions
penetrate and soften the skin, and help fragrances last longer.
They're also used in toys, electronics (such as personal computers),
car-care products, insecticides, and many household products,
including adhesives, plastic wrap, plastic containers, flooring,
furniture, wallpaper, shower curtains, and other things made of vinyl
or PVC

Here's a list of the most common phthalates, which may come in handy
for checking labels:

DBP (dibutyl phthalate)

DNOP (di-n-octyl phthalate)

DiNP (diisononyl phthalate)

DEP (diethyl phthalate)

BBzP (benzyl butyl phthalate)

DEHP (di 2-ethylhexl phthalate)

DiDP (diisodecyl phthalate)

DnHP (di-n-hexyl phthalate)

DMP (dimethyl phthalate)

DnOP (di-n-octylphthalate)

Bisphenol A (BPA) is another plasticizer."

There are now special deodorant products available for even 6yr olds.

You can also get good advice from your pharmacist concerning the best
decision to make.

Dating After Divorce? 3 Pitfalls To Avoid

This might be written with the woman in mind but I believe its still
applicable to both sexes.

"Whether you've already started dating after divorce, or you're about
to take the plunge, chances are good you're going to be tempted to
give in to three behaviors that will sabotage either your ability to
move on from your marriage, or seriously reduce the chance you'll find
a wonderful new man. Here are three post-divorce dating dangers and
how you can avoid them:

1. Thinking all guys are like your ex. Trusting a new man once you've
been hurt by your ex-husband is difficult. Yet, if you don't get rid
of this distrust toward men it will destroy your chance of finding
someone new. This distrust often shows up in online dating profiles
when you say things like "no head games," or "no dishonest men." When
you write those things in your profile, you're broadcasting on a
billboard that you've been hurt and that you're distrustful.

You'll scare away the men who have it together because they'll
recognize your distrust immediately. And most of the men who really do
play head games or are dishonest haven't admitted to themselves that
they possess these massive flaws ... this makes it likely that they
aren't going to stay away from you just because you ask them to in
your profile. And when you do get into a relationship after divorce,
even if the guy is faithful to you and is madly in love with you, you
may not believe anything he says.

This can happen because in the back of your mind, you'll have this
ongoing chorus playing: "All men are just like my ex-husband. All men
cheat. All men fall out of love and break up with you." It plays like
a country song accompanied by an out-of-tune guitar. Replace that
chorus with something more melodious, something like: "I'm having a
lot of fun getting to know my new man (or my date) and finding out
what good qualities he has." With each man you meet, you want to start
with a clean slate. 8 Great Dating Tips For Recently Divorced Women

Look at him as an individual. Notice all the ways your new man or date
is different from your ex-husband. If you're still having difficulties
trusting men after divorce simply by using your logic, I have found
one of the most effective ways to release your distrust is to use
what's called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), which involves
tapping on acupressure points. A good place to learn this technique is
at The Rebuilding Your Life After Divorce Mountain Retreat.

2. Getting involved in a rebound relationship. If you're lonely after
your divorce, it's easy to get involved with someone new before you're
truly ready to move on. But how do you know whether that new
relationship is the real thing or whether you're simply on the
rebound? First, ask yourself if the person you're with has the
qualities you'd want in a long-term partner. Do you have lots in
common with this person? Or is the physical attraction blinding you to
how wrong you really are for each other?
Another question to ask: Am I happy alone even without a man in my
life? If the answer is yes, then you're ready to get involved in a new
relationship. But if the only reason you're getting involved in a new
relationship is because you can't stand to be alone, then your new
relationship may indeed be a rebound relationship. As you heal from
your divorce and think about the lessons you learned from it, your new
relationship can be transformed from a rebound relationship to a real
relationship, as long as it's based on more than just physical
attraction. Single & Ready To Mingle? 5 Places To Meet Local Men

3. Unintentionally holding onto baggage. None of us are blank sheets
of paper. We have all been hurt in the past. The key is to find ways
to release the baggage so it doesn't get stuck inside of you. In fact,
much of the time, you're probably not even aware of your baggage.

It's time to start having an internal dialogue with yourself. Did you
spend enough time alone after your divorce to really think about what
caused the collapse of your marriage? While your ex-husband likely
played a part, did you have any destructive habits? Blame is one of
the most common destructive habits I've seen in couples. Divorced &
Dating? Why You Haven't Met Mr. Right

We want to blame our significant others for the way we feel. But our
emotions have our nametags on them. We own them. Rather than telling
our partners "You're making me angry," it's much better to say, "When
you did X, Y, or Z, I didn't feel so good. I felt really
uncomfortable."

Whether it's avoiding blame or any other relationship-sabotaging
factors, is there anything you could do differently in a new
relationship to stop it from going the way of your marriage? It's only
when you answer this question that you can say goodbye to your baggage
and hello to a wonderful new relationship."

Patrick Sawyer, Ebola and the ‘Illuminati’ Connection

By Femi Fani-Kayode

I disagree with those that have described Patrick Sawyer, the
Liberian/American that single-handedly brought the deadly ebola virus
into our shores, as a madman. He was not mad at all but just evil. He
was a man that was on a mission. That mission was to spread the ebola
virus to Nigeria and to infect and kill as many people as possible
with it.

He was an evil man with an evil intention and purpose. Worst still, he
was not working alone. Some people, and I mean rich, powerful and
well-connected people, were working with him. As a matter of fact,
they sent him on the mission.
They cultivated him, took care of him, paid him, brainwashed him, gave
him all that he wanted in life and finally asked him to go on a
suicide mission to destroy the lives of others and spread the deadly
disease.

This was a clear case of bio-terrorism and Sawyer was simply a pawn in
a bigger game and a wider picture. The motive of those who sent him
was to spread fear and panic, to kill as many people as possible, to
create a need for a solution to the problem, to prepare the ground for
a new wonder drug that could cure Ebola, to create a massive market
for that drug and to ensure that there would be massive profits from
it's sale.
As usual, it is the unbelieving, unprepared, undiscerning and naive
Africans that have been used as the prime guinea pigs in this satanic
venture. When will they stop destroying us and treating us with such
contempt? When will they begin to see and treat us as human beings?
I guess the answer to that is when we cultivate the courage to stand
up and say ''no more'' and when we have the good fortune of being
blessed with a ruling elite and a political class that truly cares and
that is incisive, insightful, properly educated, enlightened and
historically literate.

Just a few days ago, a Russian website magazine known as Pravda.ru
considered what they described as the very real possibility that the
American government actually created the Ebola virus as a lethal and
effective biological weapon solely for the purpose of biological
warfare. They wrote the following:

''The epidemic of the deadly Ebola virus that was born in the depths
of the jungle, has been spreading around the world with an
unprecedented speed lately. The number of victims, according to
official figures, has already exceeded a thousand people. The number
of infected individuals nears almost two thousand. The WHO declared
the disease a threat of global significance. Are there ways to combat
the fever? It turns out that there is a vaccine against Ebola.
Pentagon scientists were developing it for 30 years, and all the
rights for the drug belong to the government of the United States.

Two infected US medics received injections of the vaccine and they
started recovering from the disease immediately. Why was this made
public only now? Why is it that the USA holds all the rights for the
use of the vaccine? There can be two most obvious answers found to
these questions. As one can see, Ebola is a perfect biological weapon:
it spreads quickly and gives nearly 100 percent mortality. Those
having the life-saving vaccine can dictate any conditions to others.
The second answer is a purely commercial interest. It is enough to
arrange panic with the help of the media, as it was the case with
several epidemics before, such as avian flu. Afterwards, it will be
possible to sell the life-saving medicine "at any price''.

This is an interesting contribution from the Russians and it is indeed
food for thought. Yet, even though many may harbour deep suspicions
about the role of the United States of America in this ugly episode
and even though many may finger her, and indeed the entire western
world, as being the sole culprits and co-conspirators behind the
creation and unleashing of the Ebola virus on Africa, in my view, this
may not necessarily be the case.

I say this because even though the majority of the leading players in
this small and exclusive club from hell that is known as the
Illuminati and that are involved in this strange narrative are
undoubtedly from America and western Europe. It is by no means an
exclusive club of solely Americans and western Europeans. As a matter
of fact, some leading and well-known third world and African leaders
and business people are also deeply involved even though they may not
rank too high up on the ladder or in the pecking order.

Before anyone gets swept away with the idea that this is all about the
evils of America, we must make it clear that the American people
themselves, as opposed to their leaders, are as much of a victim of
this secret cabal of wickedness as is anyone else. They are also
wallowing in the throes of abysmal ignorance about what is really
going on behind the scenes almost as much as the average African.

In order to get a clearer picture, it is important to take note of the
following observations. The forces that are behind this evil are well
beyond America and they are inflicting as much evil on America, and
indeed the entire western world, as they are on the rest of humanity.
Africa and the African people are not their only victims and they are
not their only prey. They prey on all of humanity and they feed on the
flesh and drink the blood of us all regardless of where we come from.
The roots of these forces are ancient and they are very real.

They pre-date America and they were established by a tiny group of
deep-thinkers, spiritualists, intellectuals, seasoned occultists and
Lucifereans led by Adam Weishaupt in a place called Bavaria in Germany
on the European continent in 1776. They are known as the
''Illuminati'' (meaning ''The Enlightened Ones") and their activities
are buried in absolute secrecy.

Their symbol and operational structure is the pyramid and they are
fortified, strengthened and protected by numerous ancient cults and
fraternities, secret societies, false religions, pagan rituals, the
control of the worlds banking system and money supply and the total
domination and control of world politics and the entire world system
itself. They are empowered directly, through a very complex and strict
hierarchical system and command and control structure, by satan
himself through his human agents and demons.

Their ultimate goal and objective is to establish what has been
rightly described by many commentators over the years as a ''New World
Order'' which will be run by a ''One World Government'' that will be
headed by the evil soul that the Holy Bible describes as ''the
beast'', the ''son of perdition'' and the ''Anti-Christ''. The Koran
describes the same individual as the ''Masih Ad-Dajal''. Everything
that is going on in the world today, including the carnage and
bestiality of the numerous conflicts and wars that we are witnessing
are silently being orchestrated by them.

They were behind the first and second world wars and now they are busy
stoking fires all over the world, covertly funding and supporting the
most vicious and horrendous types of terror groups and quietly
preparing the ground for the Third and final World War.
They are relentless, disciplined, purposeful, unyielding, ruthless,
demonic, sociopathic, inhuman, committed, focused and very
clear-thinking. Their ultimate goal is to enslave humanity, to
enthrone the rulership of satan and his agents here on earth, to deny
God His rightful place in the hearts and minds of His children, to
destroy all His people and all men and women of faith that refuse to
bow to their perverse values and to compel humanity to accept their
''humanist'' and ungodly philosophies and ways. These are the facts
and anyone that does not believe that such an agenda or such a group
exists needs to do a lot more reading, praying and research.

The fact is that their greatest source of strength and pleasure is the
erroneous enunciation of the absurd notion that they do not exist.
They want us all to believe that there is no such evil force and
organisation and that there is no such hidden agenda. Yet sadly they
do exist and they not only control much of the world's economy, media
and commerce but they also, through the process of subtle manipulation
and sheer guile, install governments, prime ministers and presidents
in the most powerful nations in the world and they tell them what to
do from behind the scenes.

The inner circle of the Illuminati comprises of thirteen very powerful
families that are all related to one another through complex and
ancient bloodlines even though they come from different parts of the
world.  Between them these thirteen families, together with their
underlings, fronts and associates, control virtually all the political
power and money in the world.

Whether anyone chooses to believe it or not, the truth is that they
are not entirely human and they are utterly cold-blooded. One of those
families is the Rothschild family (which literally means the ''Red
Shield'').

I leave readers to do their own research on these families and to find
out their links to the Illuminati. I suggest that they start by
reading the numerous works of Mr. David Icke, an utterly brilliant man
that has been described by his detractors as ''the world's leading
conspiracy theorist''.

Weekend Treat: Walnut is a Certified Mouth Freshener!

Halitosis or bad breath is a serious issue, particularly when it comes
to socializing.

There's this colleague of yours that is always armed with information
beneficial to only himself because no one seems to be able to "bear"
it.

It is this consistent "isolation" that leads many to this terrible
discovery of having bad breath because most people are completely
unaware of their situation.

Common causes of halitosis are odour bacteria on the gums, between the
teeth and on the tongue resulting from bad teeth and gum conditions.

Food with strong odour like
Onion and garlic, chewing tobacco and smoking are other causes of bad breath.

Other causes of halitosis are any conditions of the nose, throat,
respiratory tract, liver or kidney.

The teeth should be cleaned regularly after eating especially before
going to bed at night and food particles should be removed carefully
with toothpicks or dental floss. In case of decaying teeth and swollen
and bleeding gums, a dentist should be consulted.

Many have tried all forms of therapies and mouthwashes with no real or
lasting relief.

But have you tried walnut?

Two Nigerian teenagers, Eveshorhema Samuel-Alli and Ibukunoluwa
Oladeinde have proven from their research that walnut is the number
one mouth freshener!

'According to Eveshorhema, the idea for this project came while on a
school trip to a rural area in Nigeria where the host community served
them walnuts.
"When I woke up in the morning, I hadn't brushed my teeth yet but my
breath was already fresh. Then I remembered I had eaten walnuts the
previous night." To confirm her suspicion, she ate more nuts the
following night and awoke with fresh breath again and that made them
to carry out further research.

We conducted this experiment using 35 volunteers who were students of
our school. we sent out parents consent forms and when we received the
parents' consent, we continued the experiment.

The volunteers were  divided into four groups. The duo then made two
different walnut products.
Walnut chewing gum: "We made walnut chewing gum by adding resins and
sucrose to chopped walnuts.
Walnut mouthwash: "Also, we made a walnut mouthwash mixing chopped
walnut, water and 10 per cent lime as preservative.

One group was given whole walnuts to eat; the second group was given
walnut chewing gum; the third was given walnut mouthwash while the
last group was given nothing so they were the control group.

"They took the walnut morning and night. We then observed them and
recorded the results. They did not brush their teeth for the duration
of the experiment. They were going only on walnut so we would be able
to see the improvement," said Eveshorhema Samuel-Alli.

"After this, we conducted an experiment using Lead tri-oxo nitrate (v)
in which the volunteers were made to blow bubbles into a solution of
lead nitrate and water before and after the experiment.

"Before they took the walnut and walnut products, they were made to
blow bubbles into the solution and then we recorded how long it took
to turn the solution black. What turns the solution black is hydrogen
sulphide and that is what causes mouth odour. So if it takes a short
time, that means the mouth odour is actually very bad. Then after the
experiment, they were also made to blow bubbles into the solution and
this time, it was noticed that there was significant time lapse before
the solution  turned black.

When the control group who had bacteria in their mouths, blew bubbles
into the solution, it turned black while it remained clear when the
other groups blew bubbles into it. So we knew that the walnut was
actually working to cure halitosis."

This project actually won us a Life Science Award of $1,000 in the
Medicine and Health Science category, courtesy, Sigma Xi Scientific
Research Society."

Eveshorhema and Ibukunoluwa are representing Nigeria at the 2014 Intel
International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles, California,
USA."

This actually endorses a study in the journal Molecular Oral Microbiology.

Researchers now believe that Omega-3 fatty acids (found in salmon and
walnuts) may blast bad breath better than most other cures.

The scientists said that Omega-3s, even in small doses taken via
supplements, have a way of lowering the amount of bacteria and other
pathogens in the mouth that cause bad breath.

Look no further...freshen your breath at work especially after hours
of a "shut mouth" situation.

Lagos State Civil Servants Get Six Months Maternity Leave

"The Lagos State government has appealed to the female civil servants
in the state to take the advantage of the six months maternity leave
approved for them to breastfeed their babies exclusively for healthy
growth of the babies.

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris, while speaking at
the breastfeeding awareness week organised by a charity, Child Health
Advocacy Initiative (CHAI) in collaboration with Ikeja Local
Government Authority in Lagos noted that the state government is doing
all in its power to ensure that child health is given the best of
care.

He said that global leaders met in year 2000 and came up with eight
point agenda known as Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) on health
and other issues to put global health in proper perspectives,
stressing that one of the objectives was to reduce child morbidity and
maternal mortality to the nearest minimum.

In Lagos State today, there is free medical treatment for children
below the age of five years, so as to reduce the burden of
out-of-pocket payment by parents and to encourage them to visit the
health care institutions as soon as they notice that their children
are ill."

That's great! We are now waiting for the private sector to come up
with their own "baby friendly" policy. It could centred around a work
from home option.
